anCnoc Peter Arkle

€52,60
Tax included.

The Knockdhu Distillery first opened its doors in October 1894 and was regarded as the perfect embodiment of a modern distillery, and it has been ever since.
In this spirit of a 'modern tradition', we have teamed up with renowned Scottish illustrator, Peter Arkle, to produce a series of Limited Edition releases, each celebrating a unique aspect of our distillery.

A dark warehouse containing hundreds of casks of anCnoc sitting there quietly ageing is a very special thing to be allowed to see. It's like sneaking a glimpse into a holy place (a spiritual place!). The rows of dusty casks stretch as far as you can see into the gloom. Nothing seems to be happening but there's an incredible sense of time passing. Magic is happening - slowly and quietly. Hand selected by Distillery Manager, Gordon Bruce, this Limited Edition is matured in American and Spanish oak barrels resulting in a refreshingly light dram.

Colour: Lighr amber
Nose: Sweet and full-bodied bursting with spicy vanilla and rich toffe aromas followed by fresh lemons, cooked green apples and a hint coconut.
Taste: Sweet, warm and spicy. Dried fruit cake, creamy vanilla and toffe are followed by a note of zesty orange peel and enveloped in leathery richness.
