The Botanist is a small batch gin made from nine basic aromatics and 22 local, hand-picked, wild-growing botanical ingredients from the Isle of Islay, known for its excellent tasting whiskies.
The gin also takes its name from this: the Botanist.
The gin is distilled in the unique and famous Lomond pot still, named "Ugly Betty" by the head of the distillery, Jim Mc Ewan. "Betty" is not rushed and works under low pressure which encourages the release of the subtle aromas.

The result of this hard work and patience is a high-quality robust gin that plays with floral and spicy notes.
A dry gin with a pure aroma and pungent notes of juniper, orange, pine resin and eucalyptus as well as more delicate notes of wild flowers with liquorice and cinnamon.
Very pronounced taste, dry ending with a sweet touch and the fresh character of fresh mint. A very exceptional gin that is worth tasting!
